Sensitisation Trainings and Simulation Workshops
These trainings and workshops are not a one-time event. It is a continuous learning and improvement process for creating an accessible and inclusive world. As empowerment through education is at the core of Svayam’s values, our programs are designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to make accessibility a reality. The training programs span various sectors, including infrastructure, travel, hospitality, sports, education, transportation, and more.
Svayam and the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) have been working together for the last few years to improve the experience and accessibility for Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM) at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) projects. Similarly, to impart training, Svayam has collaborated with various organisations like O.P. Jindal Global University, Sports Authority of India’s (SAI) Khelo India Para Programme, National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD), Govt. of Kenya, and more.
Capacity Building Trainings:
Ensuring employees are sensitised and trained to engage effectively and empathetically with individuals with reduced mobility is crucial. While access audits improve structures, acknowledging the needs of those with reduced mobility necessitates a shift in mindset. This training ensures preparedness and comfort in assisting individuals. For instance, equipped staff can effectively communicate with the elderly or pregnant women, prioritising their comfort and dignity in every interaction.
Overall, sensitising and training employees go beyond mere compliance; it’s about fostering an inclusive mindset, enhancing services, and ensuring dignified engagement for everyone within the workplace or any public setting.
