She is an alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce, New Delhi. Her outstanding academic performance during her MBA from the Fore School of Management, New Delhi, specialising in finance, won her a silver medal.

Under Ms. Sminu Jindal’s leadership, Jindal SAW Limited has become one of the world’s largest pipe manufacturers, offering a comprehensive range of pipe solutions. With manufacturing facilities globally and a robust supply chain management presence, the company has grown significantly and expanded into the sustainable energy and rail infrastructure sectors. With her guidance, Jindal SAW Limited has marched ahead with its subsidiaries. One notable subsidiary, JITF, operates a Waste-to-Energy (WtE) plant in Delhi, processing municipal solid waste and generating clean and renewable energy.

Ms. Jindal served as the Chairperson of the ASSOCHAM National Council on Iron and Steel from 2007 to 2021.

In September 2008, the National Trust, a statutory body created through an act of Parliament, ‘The National Trust for the Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation, and Multiple Disabilities Act 1999’, under the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India, launched the Association for Rehabilitation Under the National Trust Initiative in Marketing (ARUNIM) at the hands of the former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Due to her strong business acumen, Ms. Sminu Jindal was nominated by the Government of India as its chairperson. Under her leadership and involvement, ARUNIM’s annual turnover rose tremendously, from a meagre 0.3 million in the first year to 10 million quickly.
