Inclusivity is the practice of including people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized. It can also be defined as the quality or state of being inclusive.
For over two decades, Svayam has been promoting dignity for people with reduced mobility and advocating for an inclusive and accessible environment for all.

Who are People with Reduced Mobility?

People with Reduced Mobility means any person whose mobility is reduced while navigating an environment and whose situation needs special attention and adaptation to the person’s needs. A person with reduced mobility can be elderly, pregnant women, kids, person with disability, temporary injured etc.

What is Accessibility?

Accessibility in simple definition is going from one place to another with safety, comfort, and dignity. It is the most important thing for a sustainable world. It ensures that everyone can participate, contribute, and thrive, regardless of their abilities or disabilities, and can navigate and engage in the world around them without barriers.
With accessibility, we can develop a physical environment and transportation system which is accessible for everyone.

Why Accessbility4All?
  • Accessibility4all refers to people with reduced mobility and not just people with disabilities. It is the principle and practice of ensuring that everyone, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities, disabilities, or limitations can engage in every task or activity. This concept extends across various domains, including infrastructure and transportation.
  • In practical terms, accessibility for all involves designing and implementing inclusive solutions that consider diverse needs and preferences. This might include providing wheelchair accessible ramps and elevators for physical accessibility, captioning, and sign language interpretation for people with hearing impairments, screen readers and alternative text for people with visual impairments, simplified language, and easy-to-read formats for individuals with cognitive disabilities or those with mobility challenges.
  • Promoting accessibility for all not only enhances the quality of life for people with disabilities but also benefits society as a whole by fostering inclusivity, diversity, and equal participation. It aligns with principles of social justice and human rights, emphasizing the importance of removing barriers and creating environments where everyone can fully participate and contribute.
