A 25-Year Journey of Advocacy & Action

Since its inception, Svayam has been at the forefront of advancing accessibility and inclusive design. What began as a grassroots initiative has grown into a powerful movement spanning communities, cities, and nations.

Through public campaigns, policy advocacy, capacity-building workshops, and on-ground interventions, Svayam has reached millions of people, strengthened awareness, and contributed to systemic changes that promote accessibility and equal participation.

“World Accessibility Day March 27 is a global movement to bring collective attention to the importance of building environments, systems, and opportunities that enable everyone to move, participate, and belong.”
